Bronze 3D model of the cathedral of Notre-Dame de Strasbourg

  • Bronze 3D model of the cathedral of Notre-Dame de Strasbourg

This 1:125th scale bronze model shows the cathedral of Notre-Dame de Strasbourg as it is today. It was permanently installed alongside the life-sized version in Place du Château, with a block of Vosges sandstone as its base.

It was produced and sculpted by the German model maker Egbert Broerken and was inaugurated by Mr Roland Ries, the Mayor of Strasbourg, and Monseigneur Christian Kratz, Auxiliary Bishop of Strasbourg. Christophe Fleurov managed this project, carried out during the millennial anniversary of the cathedral's foundations.

Another model can also be admired in Strasbourg. This is "Le Point de convergence" located in Place d'Austerlitz, a bronze 1:750th scale relief map in the heart of Strasbourg.
